It's been a while!

We spent most of December and over the New Year, visiting our family in Australia, where we have two wonderful granddaughters under three years old. We hadn't travelled to Australia for over three years and, apart from a few days in Berlin, Germany, in October, it had been nearly 18 months since we had seen any of our Australian family. So there was a lot to catch up on!

A highlight for me was a great day spent at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with James, my son, watching the first test between Australia and Pakistan. We had perfect seats, the cricket was grand, and the weather was perfect - to say nothing of the beer.

In fact I ate far too much good food and drank too much good wine and exercised too little – now it's back to the Concept2 indoor rower (my preferred exercise/sport) with a vengeance, to try to work off a wine belly and fix flabby muscles!

So, all in all, I didn't get a lot of design work done in Australia.

Coming back to Maine was a little bit of a shock to the system, swapping sunny days with temperatures in the mid to upper 30's (80ºF - 100ºF) for the freezing cold and snow of a Maine winter.

But we are in the swing of things now and looking to advance on all fronts ....
