Design 037

A builder of this design has discovered a few errors in the drawings and instructions, which I have now corrected. I am working through the remainder of the drawings and instructions to see if I can spot any other glitches.

There are also a couple of drawings missing.

I will be uploading the replacement and missing plans, and checked instructions, in the next day or so.

This was one of the first sets of plans that I changed from paper to uploadable. I used to design on a 380mm (15") wide format but for downloadable deigns I had to switch to 215mm or 305mm (8.5" or 12") wide format as these are the two widths that can be accommodated by A4 or A3 printers in common use.

One way to do this is to rescale all the drawings but I decided against this for reasons of clarity. So the drawings all have to be rearranged, generally with more drawings than the original set of plans. Once I got into the swing of doing this it became fairly easy, but for the first one or two designs i was feeling my way a bit – hence I guess the problem with this design.

Generally when something doesn't seem right it is better to question it with me rather than spend lots of time puzzling things out – because, as in this case, it may well be an error on my part – and I can usually fix that straight away for you and then issue corrected drawings or instructions.
