Good evening, George
I have been looking for a Debden 4 tonner for a while and have just purchased Abigail recently. I understand that this could be her original name and that she was built in 1953. I would appreciate it if you could confirm this and let me have any more information you might have on her. She needs a little TLC but I am confident she will be in the water (Lymington) by the spring.
Kind regards

Hi Andrew

According to our records, Abigail is indeed a Deben 4-tonner. She is Yard No. 390 and was launched in April 1952. She was built for a Mr. T. G. Fisk. Rig was a gaff sloop – is she still the same rig?

I would really appreciate some photos as we don't have any of her at all.

I hope the 'TLC' goes well and that you enjoy some great sailing in her this coming season and onwards – they are lovely boats.

If you have any queries about the boats and their construction I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Best regards

George

Many thanks for the information, George
I will get photos to you as soon as we complete the formalities and get her a bit tidied up!
Would you have any photo's of launch?
Cheers

Hi Andrew

Sadly we don't have any photos of Abigail at all. Just the bare details I gave you.

Which is why some would be very welcome 😀

Cheers -- George

Hi Andrew

I haven't got around to enabling the posting of pictures on the Forums – the simplest is just to attach them to an email to support@whisstock.com

I very much appreciate it - many thanks

1952 must have been a pretty busy year! Corista was one of the biggest boats built at the yard. Sadly she was destroyed by fire in Canada, quite a few years ago now.
